Safety 4 Mil / RS-20 External is a professional safety film with solar control properties for applications such as skylights, conservatories , and other flat glass. The film strengthens the glass, helps reduce injuries from broken glass, and provides a silver glass look with significant heat reduction.

Product description
This 4 mil (approx. 125 µm ) PET film is designed to strengthen glass and reduce solar gain. Ideal for projects where safety and comfort are key: reduced heat, privacy, and added protection in case of breakage. Suitable for various types of glass (including single, double, triple, and HR++), within the recommended glass surface area.

Suitable types of glass
Suitable for clear/tinted single glazing, double glazing, HR++ (gas-filled), STADIP (EXT/INT), and triple glazing. Recommendation based on a maximum of approximately 2.5 m² of glass surface per pane; contact us for larger surfaces.
Instructions for use
- Clean and degrease the glass thoroughly (work dust-free).
- Cut the foil to size with a small margin.
- Use water with a little green Dreft/Fairy as a mounting fluid (no chemicals).
- Position the film and squeegee away water/air in overlapping strokes.
- Allow bonding/polymerization to take place (full bonding within approx. 30 days).
Maintenance
Do not clean the film for at least one month and do not apply any stickers or adhesives. Afterwards, clean it with water and green detergent/Fairy. Do not use any chemicals .
Tip
Work in a dust-free environment and keep squeegee edges clean to prevent streaks and dirt traps.
