Safety 8 Mil Clear is a professional safety film (for interior installation) that reinforces glass and helps reduce the risk of injury from broken glass. This transparent film is designed for applications where safety is paramount: anti-fall protection , vandalism and impact delay, and additional protection against explosion pressure.

Product description
With a film thickness of approximately 240 µm, Safety 8 Mil Clear provides a strong, transparent safety layer that better holds glass together in the event of breakage. Suitable for homes, offices, shops, and project-specific applications where safety and transparency are paramount.

Suitable types of glass
Suitable for clear/tinted (reflective) single glazing, double glazing, HR++ (gas-filled), STADIP (EXT/INT), triple glazing, and 4mm acrylic. Not suitable for 4mm polycarbonate. Recommendation: Based on a maximum of approximately 2.5 m² of glass surface per pane; contact us for larger surfaces.
Instructions for use
- Clean and degrease the glass thoroughly (work dust-free).
- Cut the foil to size with a small margin.
- Use water with a little green Dreft/Fairy as a mounting fluid (no chemicals).
- Position the film and squeegee away water/air in overlapping strokes.
- Allow the bonding/polymerization to take place (full bonding within approx. 30 days).
Maintenance
Do not clean the film for at least one month and do not apply any stickers or adhesives. Afterwards, clean it with water and green detergent/Fairy. Do not use any chemicals .
Tip
Use a sharp blade and keep the squeegee edges clean. This prevents dirt from getting trapped and ensures a smooth, crystal-clear finish.
